What are Jew Supposed to Do When Jew are Off for Good Friday
In the tradition of having the day off for Jesus dying on the Cross, for all of his disciples sins, a Jew really has to wonder… what is out there for ME to do so I can enjoy the day. Here are a few tips I can offer to you:
Sleep in as late as possible.

Enjoy the rest that is being offered to you, AT PAY.
Second, when you do wake up try to keep your time occupied with things to do where it will not be a rat race.
Example. Going to a mall is probably the WORST idea ever!
There will be tons of people trying to find last minute trinkets to give to their kids in their Easter baskets. Or moms and children arguing about what dress they will want to wear to Church and/or Easter Parties.
SO instead of that you can try going to the gym.
I am telling you, you will most likely be the ONLY person there, and if you aren’t, it will most likely be a fellow Jew. You can embrace each other in the fact that you are off work today!
OR try going on a hike or picnic!
I am sure wherever you live, there are more places to explore in the wilderness than you can imagine! Just look it up!
So now that you are back at home and are somewhat tired from sleeping in and being outdoors, you will need to find it in your weakened state to finally try cooking that meal you have always wanted to attempt.
After taking up most of your day being active and spending time preparing your AMAZING meal, I suggest you kick your feet up and relax.
Open a bottle or two of wine and enjoy a movie on demand or netflix, or whatever it is your might use. I realize it is a Friday night, but the horrible hustle and bustle of people everywhere will ruin your perfect day.
Today was your day off, and you got PAID for it!! Happy Easter weekend to all my fellow Jews, we deserved it!
